U6/U7/U8 Fundamentals (NEW!!)

Program Overview:
The focus of this group is to develop the players skills as well as keep the session as FUN as possible. Players will warm up together and then be split into smaller groups so they can have more repetition as well as more corrections from service providers.
Skills and Tactics Covered:
Forward and Backward Stride, Edges, Pivots and Transitions, Quick feet and acceleration. Passing, stickhandling and shooting skills.

U11A – Rep – Jr. Cs

Program Overview:
This camp is offered to first year U11 players born in 2014 (first year U11) that are looking to try out to play Rep Hockey. This camp will give players the opportunity to participate in full ice drills, introducing positional play, while also developing individual skills and tactics. As many of these players have not played full ice hockey the goal of this camp is to prepare the players for tryouts and to help them decide which position they would like to play. All players will get offensive and defensive opportunities during skills as well as scrimmages. This is a continuation of the Jr. Cs program during winter development.

Forward and Backward Stride, Edges, Pivots and Transitions, Quick feet and acceleration. Passing and Shooting skills. 1-1 and 2-1 as well as battle and compete situations.

Program Overview:
This camp is a rust removal camp with the focus being individual skills for half the session and small area game play for the second half. The camp will consist of 16-20 skaters and 4 goalies. The first 30 minutes of each session the players and goalies will split up to work on individual skills and tactics. For the second half of the ice time, we will divide the players up into 4 teams and play cross ice 3-3.

Program Overview:
Pathways program as per Hockey Canada guidelines. This camp is offered to first year U11 players to give them the opportunity to work on full ice and hockey skills. There is no cost for this session up to a maximum of 4 sessions per player.

U15 Checking Camp (NEW!!)

Program Overview:
This camp will focus on battle and compete and have a large component focusing on bodychecking. This will be an excellent chance for first year U15 players or second year players that played “C” and want to play rep hockey. The players will learn how to give and receive a check safely, stressing that the intent is to separate the opponent from the puck. Players will have the opportunity to participate in drills that will let them work on both offensive and defensive checking skills and tactics.
Skills Covered:
Weight transfer, Edge work, giving a hit, receiving a check. Where the dangerous areas are on the ice. How to protect yourself. Stick checking, Small area battle and compete.

Program Overview: These camp sessions would start off with flow drills to get everyone on the same page, along with intensity and speed of what we expect throughout the weekend/sessions of the camps. It will be run at high intensity, pace and focuses on the long term/season ahead rather than just coming for a skate and getting back to hockey shape
Skills Covered: Proper footwork, stops/starts, agility and stride.

These camps will run with 2 back-to-back sessions. The first session will be skills based with the players breaking off into their forward and defense groups to work on positions specific skills and tactics. The second session will be run as a battle and compete session where the players will take the skills used in the first session and put them into play against other players.

Our U13 A1 coaches will be running a Dynamic Skating and Hockey skills camp for both rep and house players. The focus of this camp will be skating, edge work and foot speed but will also cover other hockey skills such as shooting, passing and stickhandling and puck control.

Program Overview:
The shooters will have 20-30 minutes with a service provider working on a variety of shooting techniques. Players will get lots of repetition honing their skills before they take what they learned then work with the goalies to simulate game situations.
Skills and tactics covered:
Snap shot, wrist shot, tips and deflections, shooting in stride, screening and locating rebounds, dekes and breakaways.
Goalies:
This camp will be for both goalies and players wanting to work on their shooting. The goalie instructors will work with the goalies for 20-30 minutes and a service provider will work with the players teaching different shooting skills each practice. The goalies and players will come together in 4 different stations so they can have lots of repetition putting the skills learned into practice.

Edge work and skating, crease movement, rebound control, sight lines, tips and rebounds.

Rec Goalie Rust Removal U11-U18

Program Overview:
This camp is to remove rust for goalies who are looking to play house hockey and want to get back on the ice before the season starts. The camp will be designed so goalies will get lots of repetition and correction. Shooters will be out to help simulate game play situations to prepare the goalies for the season.

Edge work and skating, crease movement, rebound control, save selection, sight lines, tips and rebounds.
