Financial Assistance


CMHA holds the position that NO child should be unable to play due to financial restraints and no family should suffer financial hardship in order for their child to play. CMHA is pleased to announce that all fees will remain the same as last season with no increase.

Please register your child and advise the Registrar that you have applied for grants for registration fees.  Please ensure you also note on your online registration that you are applying for funding to avoid late fees.  

Please do not pay your registration fees but you are required to pay camp fees, tryout fees in advance. 

Please note that all grants are only available for basic registration fees.  Camps, Rep tryout fees, Team Fees and Equipment costs are not covered by grants. 


Keep a watch here for information on the TriCity Kidsport semi annual used equipment sales.

Lace Em Up -

The Lace’em Up Foundation for Kids is pleased to announce a partnership with the Hockey Canada Foundation’s “Assist Fund”.

CMHA Foundation Fund - CMHA members are proud to support our Foundation Fund which provides financial assistance for part of the balance of registration fees not covered by the other organizations or in certain cases all the fees if you do not qualify for the other funding.

Please send the Registrar your completed application (available for download below) for this confidential program.  Please note you must include proof of your application to the other grant providers listed here in order to be considered for the CMHA Foundation Fund.

Grindstone Award Foundation  - Is a registered charity that works to get more girls on the ice and to grow female hockey across the nation.  They help girls play by providing grants of $500 to young females under the age of 19 who have a desire to play, but are unable to for financial reasons.


The deadline to apply has been extended to August 31, 2023.
